On Saturday we completed the training at the UK’s fiftieth clinic to provide IDD Therapy spinal decompression. Alan Smith and Paul Smith Physiotherapy in Rotherham have pedigree of treating elite footballers but with a growing focus on spinal issues, have opened their newly designated spinal suite.
Father and son team Alan and Paul have established a fantastic reputation for first class rehab. Paul is joined by another Alan Smith, a friend and former physiotherapist at Aston Villa to expand the spine specialism
We’re delighted to have the guys in the network and with over 2,000 Accu SPINA systems globally, they become part of an international network of practitioners committed to giving the best in non-surgical spine care.
Steve Small of international IDD Therapy distributor Steadfast Clinics says:
“We are honoured whenever a clinic joins the network. When we had the first clinic in the UK, the vision of a network was there, but it seemed a long way off.
There has been such a lot of work from a lot of people to get to this position. To have Paul and Alan join now is fantastic and only serves to help us all get even better.”
Here are some pictures of treatment, a couple of patient-focussed videos from the day and some behind the scenes installation pictures.
Thanks to Paul, Alan and all the team.

IDD Therapy now in Staffordshire at Castlefields Osteopathy.
Andrew Wade has used IDD Therapy spinal decompression in an earlier part of his career. With the opportunity to expand his practice in Stafford at new premises, Osteopath Andrew planned his clinic with IDD Therapy in mind.
The new clinic was a blank canvas and so Andrew measured the area and constructed treatment rooms to ensure he had space for an Accu SPINA.
Having used IDD Therapy extensively, Andrew knows what it can achieve for patients.
“To not have IDD Therapy in my clinic would mean I would be limited in what I could do for my patients, especially those with challenging disc conditions.
The results we can achieve using IDD Therapy within a framework of osteopathic care are truly exciting”.
On the day of training, Andrew was joined by his colleague Kirsten Nottrott and fellow osteopath Kendall Chew.
Steve Small of IDD Therapy says, “We are delighted to welcome Andrew and Kirsten, the fact that Andrew has already used IDD is indicative of the success of the treatment.“
We wish Castlefields Osteopathy every success for the future.
Castlefields Osteopathy is located on Staffordshire Technology Park in Stafford. Free easy parking.
