Stephen Small

I get asked a lot so I quickly share the practicalities of getting IDD – install, training, start.

Installation – this is one day.  Depending where you are located, we arrive morning or lunchtime.

It takes about an hour to offload the parts and then we allow 3-4 hours to set your Accu-SPINA (IDD) machine up.

There is no need to close the clinic.  We typically do installs on Tuesdays Wednesdays or Thursdays.

Training – this is one day from 9am to 4.30pm/ 5pm on a day convenient to you.  Can be the day after install or usually within 7 days.

Training is straight forward. Typically we begin with an overview of the background of IDD.  We then go into practical.  The aim being to get you and your team comfortable with using IDD (regional variations may apply).

Step 1 – We show how to use the IDD software, it’s straight forward.  We then demonstrate putting someone on the machine for lumbar treatment

Step 2 – You put the trainer on the machine and everyone practices harnessing

Step 3 – A review of the protocols, exercise, manual therapy, indications and contraindications

Step 4 – Another lumbar practice

Lunch

Step 5 – Cervical training – how to administer neck treatment

Step 6 – Turning the machine on and off

Step 7 – Lumbar treatment refresher

Step 8 – Q&A

There is typically an ongoing Q&A because questions crop up!

Ordering

There is a four to six week lead time.  To confirm the order we ask for a deposit which places the order with the factory. We immediately put your clinic on the IDD Therapy clinic finder.

Finance – Most clinics use a Higher Purchase with a company we work with.  I will write more on this separately, or contact me for details.

Materials

We begin preparing marketing materials, personalised leaflets, website copy, in-clinic tv presentation etc as per the inclusionss

For sole practitioners, your trainer is you patient.

For clinics outside the UK and USA, we coordinate the logistics.  The machine will be delivered to your clinic on a day when the representative will be with you.

He will install the machine, with some local labour assistance for lifting.  Training is the next day.  The trainer will stay an extra day or two depending on the needs.

All in all, it’s a straight forward process.
